RICHARD BROCKMIRE

Richard Kenneth Brockmire, 63, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, April 17, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 13, 1934, at New Hamburg, son of Ralph and Luella Zeyen Brockmire. He and Julia Burger were married May 24, 1958, at Oran.

Brockmire was employed 25 years at Procter & Gamble, retiring in 1991. He was a member of Elks Lodge.

He was a graduate of Central High School and was on the baseball team. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include his wife; a son, David Brockmire; a daughter, Kim Matthews; his mother, all of Cape Girardeau; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with Dr. Clayton Smith officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
