THEBES, Ill. -- Rheta "Betty" Williams, 78, of Thebes, Ill., died Friday, March 16, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born February 3, 1934, to Sidney and Martha Clara (Waterman) Callis in Miller City, Ill.
Betty was a member of Trinity Assembly of God Church and farmed all of her life.
She is survived by two sisters, Cynthia (F. Kenneth) Rivet of Thebes and Judy (Kenneth) Tanksley of Quitman, Texas; one brother, Mike (Wanda) Callis of Hecker, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Beatrice Williams of Olive Branch, Ill.; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Sidney Joe Callis, Donald Williams and infant brother Terry Callis.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.
Funeral services for will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Baumgard Cemetery, with Rev. Stephen Clardy officiating.
