McCLURE, Ill. -- Funeral service for the Rev. William A. Wilson of Santa Maria, Calif., was held Jan. 6 at Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary in Santa Maria. The Revs. Danny Mercer and Ed Sogge officiated. Private inurnment will be in Sterns Cemetery in Carbondale.
Wilson, 86, died Monday, Jan. 2, 1995, in Santa Maria.
He was born Oct. 25, 1908, in Wolf Lake.
Wilson was a minister in the United Pentecostal Church Association 52 years, and had pastored in McClure and Carbondale. He had resided in Santa Maria 16 years.
Survivors include his wife, Edith; a daughter, Margaret DeBow of Lindale, Texas; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter.
