The Rev. Terry Lewis Eades, 56, of Scott City died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009, at his home.
He was born July 22, 1953, in St. Louis to Jesse Doyle and Flossie Muriel Akins Eades. He and Valerie Jean Acre were married July 23, 1977, in De Soto, Mo.
Eades was the minister 15 1/2 years at First Baptist Church in Scott City; minister of music, education and youth at Faith Baptist Church in Festus, Mo., five years; taught elementary music at Festus Public Schools seven years; and was a missionary journeyman in Japan two years.
He is survived by his wife, Valerie; three sons, Patrick (Lacie) Eades and Aaron Eades of Scott City, David Eades of St. Louis; a daughter, Amanda (Kyle) Turner of Perryville, Mo.; a brother, Ken Eades of Mineral Point, Mo.; four sisters, Peggy (Gordon) Bess and Kathy (Rick) Hoelzer of Fenton, Mo., Janice (Wade) White and Coleen (Kevin) Evans of Willow Springs, Mo.; and two grandchildren, Bennett and Justin Eades.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. to service time Thursday at First Baptist Church in Scott City.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the church, with David Daniel, Gregg Fina and Mike Parry officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.
