BLOOMFIELD -- The Rev. Ruth Grace Christian, 86, of Flint, Mich., died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1993, in Flint.

She was born March 22, 1907, at Bloomfield, daughter of Ferdnan and Rosetta Chasteen Poe. She and Cecil Christian were married Jan. 12, 1924. He died in 1975.

The Christians lived in Flint 49 years, where they founded and pastored Bethany Tabernacle. She was a missionary in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1975.

Survivors include a brother, Nelius Harris of Flint; two sisters, Geraldine Wallace of Johnson City, Texas, Erma Christian of Bloomfield, and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter and son.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at West Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Bloomfield.

Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
