MALDEN -- The Rev. Margaret M. Dirks, 67, of Malden, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born Feb. 8, 1924, at Yorkville, Ill. She married Ronald Dirks June 10, 1944. Dirks had lived in Malden since 1947. She received a bachelor of science degree in home economics from Iowa State University, and received a master of divinity degree from Memphis Theological Seminary in 1981...

MALDEN -- The Rev. Margaret M. Dirks, 67, of Malden, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Feb. 8, 1924, at Yorkville, Ill. She married Ronald Dirks June 10, 1944.

Dirks had lived in Malden since 1947. She received a bachelor of science degree in home economics from Iowa State University, and received a master of divinity degree from Memphis Theological Seminary in 1981.

She has been pastor of the Presbyterian Church at Fisk 10 years, and was currently moderator of Giddings-Lovejoy Presbytery.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Douglas and David Dirks of Malden, Bill Dirks of Des Moines, Iowa; a niece she helped rear, Sabra Elmer of Charleston; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Presbyterian Church in Fisk. The Revs. Charles Grant and Betty Shepperson will officiate, with burial in Shain Memorial Cemetery at Fisk.

Friends may call at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk after 6 p.m. today.
