JACKSON -- The Rev. Lorne Fleming Piercey, 92, of Hazen, Ark., died Monday, Jan. 13, 1997, at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Little Rock, Ark.
He was born March 23, 1904, in Totten Ham, Ontario, Canada, son of James and Annie Fleming Piercey. He first married Florence Schell in October 1928. She died in January 1966. He then married Alma Snyder in May 1970. She died in January 1995. He later married Dolores Huffman.
Formerly of Jackson, Piercey was a Methodist minister in Missouri and Arkansas more than 40 years. He also taught high school mathematics at Qulin 20 years. He was a Boy Scout leader in the Poplar Bluff area a number of years.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Gloria Biznek of Staunton, Ill., Lorene Carvin of Warren, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, brother and sister.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. today at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home, with the Rev. Scott Lohse officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
