Rev. Kenneth Ledermann

The Rev. Kenneth Ledermann, 88, of Whitewater died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2005, at his home.

He was born March 2, 1917, in West Union, Ill., son of George E. and Hattie Higginbothom Ledermann. He first married Mary Rayhill, who preceded him in death. He and Margie Leona Coomer were married June 20, 1947. She died March 12, 1981. He then married Lela Carter, who preceded him in death. He married Glenna Ratliff, who also preceded him in death.

Ledermann had been a preacher at Full Gospel churches in Whitewater, Marston and Commerce, and was also a carpenter.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include three sons, Kenneth E. "Buddy" Ledermann of Scott City, Kenneth J. Ledermann Jr. of Cahokia, Ill., Paul Dean Ledermann of Mitchell, Mo.; four daughters, twins Brenda Rhodes of Whitewater and Linda Robins of Marble Hill, Mo., Margie Eggemeyer of Chester, Ill., Sue Wilson of Lady Lake, Fla.; 19 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Revs. Vester Keesee and Jack Owens officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park with full military honors by Missouri Honor Guard.
