NORTH POTOMAC, Md. -- The Rev. Jack Vaughn Lawrence, 91, of North Potomac passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018. He was born in Cape Girardeau to the late James F. and Ollie Lawrence. NORTH POTOMAC, Md. -- The Rev. Jack Vaughn Lawrence, 91, of North Potomac passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018.

He was born in Cape Girardeau to the late James F. and Ollie Lawrence.

Jack served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and his community as a Baptist clergyman. He held degrees from William Jewell College and Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

He was the beloved husband of 64 years to Joan Stuckey Lawrence and devoted father to Linda Lawrence Kiefer.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 3. at Joseph Gawler's Sons, 5130 Wisconsin Ave. NW, in Washington, D.C. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery with military honors.
