OLMSTED, Ill. -- The Rev. Eugene Williams, 62, of Olmsted and formerly of Union County, died Saturday, March 11, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 9, 1932, in Union County, the son of Francis Paul and Grace Tate Williams. He married Emma Lou Manus on July 17, 1952, in Paragould, Ark.

He was a Baptist minister and had pastored several churches in southern Illinois. He was a member of the Mound City, Ill., Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Kenneth Williams of Olmsted; two daughters, Arlene Underwood of Grand Chain and Brenda Neely of Ashland City, Tenn.; a sister, Sarita Griffith of Peoria; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. Monday at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna, where funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. F.M. Speakman will officiate with burial in the Alto Pass Cemetery.
