The Rev. Ellston Elmer Chapman, 77, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022, at his home.
He was born Jan. 26, 1945, in Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania. He married Paula Marie Moore on July 5, 1968, in Anoka, Minnesota. She preceded him in death June 26, 2022.
Ellston was the minister at Mid America Teen Challenge for 45 years.
He is survived by two sons, Stewart (Clarissa) Chapman of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Nathan (Jamie) Chapman of Marthasville, Missouri; daughter, Jana (Roger) Ray of El Centro, California; brother, Laurice Chapman of Lake Ariel; and sister, Elaine Stevens of Lake Ariel.
Ellston was also preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2 at Teen Challenge Chapel in Cape Girardeau.
