OLMSTED, Ill. -- The Rev. Dennis Ray Clark Sr., 67, of Olmsted passed away at 8:11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015, at his home.
The Rev. Clark was born March 18, 1948, in Dexter, Missouri, son of the late Viris Clark and Nelda Poole Clark.
The Rev. Clark was a heavy machine operator with Union Local 318, an Army veteran and was a minister of the Crusaders for Christ Church in Mounds, Illinois.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Pannell Clark of Olmsted; three sons, James Salmon of Olmsted, Donald Ray Salmon of California and Dennis Ray Clark Jr. of Bell City, Missouri; four daughters, Bobbi Jo Salmon of Olmsted, Connie Gibson of Montevallo, Alabama, Tammy Braden of Metropolis, Illinois, and Stacy Groves of Jackson; one brother, Eddie Clark of Olive Branch, Illinois; three sisters, Nelda Kirby and Norma Robbins, both of Thebes, Illinois, and Mary Grace of Olive Branch; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, Illinois.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sonny Jackson officiating. Interment will be in Concord Cemetery in rural Olmsted, with full military honors given by the Illinois National Guard Burial Team and area veterans.
