MARBLE HILL -- The Rev. Clarence Elledge, 95, of Marble Hill, died Tuesday, May 31, 1994, at Bond Nursing Care Center.
He was born April 6, 1899, in Bollinger County, son of Charlie and Elmine Rogers Elledge. He and Ada Angel were married Feb. 8, 1922. She died Oct. 25, 1993.
Elledge was a General Baptist minister, ordained in 1933. He pastored several churches in the Bollinger County area, and was also a retired farmer.
He was a member of Little Valley General Baptist Church and Old Liberty Presbty.
Survivors include a son, Glen Elledge of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Irvin Elledge of Edwardsville, Ill., Sam Elledge of Missouri; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and a stepgrandchild.
He was preceded in death by two sons and five brothers.
Friends may call at Baker Funeral Home after 4:30 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Revs. Lloyd Bowers and David Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
