SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- The Rev. Bernard Grayum Corn, 81, of Scott City died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2000, at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau. SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- The Rev. Bernard Grayum Corn, 81, of Scott City died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2000, at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Aug. 30, 1919, in Oak Grove, Mo., son of Della and Neva Grayum Corn. He and Olive Blanch Hendrickson were married Aug. 16, 1943, in Cape Girardeau.

Corn had pastored at Red Star Baptist in Cape Girardeau, Morley Baptist in Morley, Mo., Fellowship Baptist in Sikeston, Mo., and at churches in East Prairie, Mo., Advance, Mo., St. Mary's, Mo., Gideon, Mo., and New Madrid, Mo. He was director of missions with Charleston Baptist Association 10 years.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Scott City.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Lynn and Larry Corn of Scott City; a brother, Carl Corn of Oak Grove; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and four great-stepgrandchildren.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, with the Revs. Terry Eades, Jack Bishop and R.L. Robinson officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
