Reta Charlotte Doege, 77, of Scott City died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004, at Heartland Care and Rehabilitation Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 18, 1927, in Miller City, Ill., daughter of David Ralph and Mary Alice Bowers McCoy. She and Herman Karl Doege were married June 5, 1955, in Chicago. He died July 28, 1976.
Mrs. Doege was an English teacher at Olive Branch, Blodgett and Kelly high schools.
Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Burton of Scott City; two grandsons, Scott Burton of Advance, Mo., Jason Burton of Chaffee, Mo.; three great-grandchildren, Ashley, Sarah and Katie Burton of Advance.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel. Burial will be in Baumgardt Cemetery at Miller City.
