Renelda Mattingly
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Renelda Mattingly, 88, of DeSoto, Mo., formerly of Perryville, died Monday, March 9, 2009, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City, Mo.
She was born June 3, 1920, in St. Louis, daughter of Alvin and Stella LaBruyere Franklin. She and John L Mattingly were married May 4, 1946, in Festus, Mo. He died Nov. 12, 1997.
Mattingly was a final inspector at Prince Gardner. She was a member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church at Brewer, Mo., where she was a past sacristan, a past member of the parish council and Blessed Sacrament Sodality. She was a member of Perry County Historical Society.
Survivors include two daughters, Yvonne Mattingly of Perryville, Pam Richardet of High Ridge, Mo.; a son, Norman Mattingly of Hillsboro, Mo.; a sister, Dorothy Johnson of Festus; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Christ the Savior Church in Brewer. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
