REINHOLD SCHIRMER

ALTENBURG, Mo. -- Reinhold M. Schirmer, 92, of Altenburg, Mo., died March 16, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Schirmer was born in Altenburg on Dec. 5, 1908, the son of Martin and Emma Schirmer.

Schirmer, a farmer and carpenter, married Irene Schilling on Sept. 21, 1941. He was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a past member of the Golden Age Club of Altenburg.

He is survived by a daughter, Pauline Allers of Oak Ridge, Mo.; two grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and his twin brothers.

Funeral will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg at 2 p.m. Tuesday, with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Wayne Palmer will officiate.

Friends may call from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 6:30 to noon Tuesday at the Young & Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg.
