MARBLE HILL -- James M. "Red" Hartle, 69, of Marble Hill died Saturday, Sept. 6, 1997, at his home.
He was born July 7, 1928, in Lutesville, the son of Linus E. and Flossie Cole Hartle.
He owned the White Way Store in Marble Hill.
He belonged to the Lutesville Presbyterian Church.
He retired from coaching in the St. Charles Public Schools and wrote a sports column for the Banner Press.
Survivors include several cousins.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Nancy Gillard officiating. Burial will be in the Baker Cemetery in Marble Hill.
