CHARLESTON -- Funeral service for Recie Dixon of Chicago will be held at 1 p.m. today at Sparks Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Otis White will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from noon until service time.

Dixon, 54, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 1991, at Bethany Hospital.

She was born July 17, 1937, at Charleston, daughter of Olie and Eather Dixon.

Survivors include three sons, John and Olie Smith of Chicago, Tommy Smith of Matteson, Ill.; three daughters, Vanessa Smith and Gloria Dixon of Chicago, Sandra Waiters of Park Forest, Ill.; her father of Charleston; five brothers, Elbert Dixon of Benton Harbor, Mich., Gilbert Dixon of Hayti, David and William Dixon of Charleston, James Dixon of Cape Girardeau; four sisters, Clara Griffin of Benton Harbor, Bernetta Bradley and Francis Dixon of Charleston, Mary Davis of Detroit, Mich., and six grandchildren.
