SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Rebekah JoEllen Whitworth Ham, 24, of Scott City died Monday, Sept. 25, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 13, 1976, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Marshall and JoEllen Gulley Whitworth. She married Paul Nevan Ham June 7, 1997, in Cape Girardeau.
Rebekah was an assistant to a hygienist for Dr. Richard Schwartz. She was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Ham; a daughter, Meredith Grace Ham of Scott City; her parents, Marshall and JoEllen Whitworth of Scott City; a brother and his wife, Dustin and Amy Whitworth of Cape Girardeau; a sister and her husband, Michelle and Chris Jones of Cape Girardeau; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John Paul and Faith Ham of Scott City.
Also surviving is a brother-in-law, Derek Ham of Scott City; two sisters-in-law and husbands, Hope and Gary Haynes of Colorado Springs, Colo., Heather and Blake Thomas of Scott City; nephews and a niece, Garrett Jones, Kali Whitworth, Joshua Thomas, and Zachary Haynes; and a paternal grandmother-in-law, Mrs. Nevan A. Fisher of Scott City.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, and from 12-2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Scott City. Officiants will be the Rev. Terry Eades, the Rev. Chad Bles, the Rev. Joe Hudson and the Rev. Phillip Davidson. Burial will be in Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.
