ANNA, Ill. -- Rebecca Geraldine "Jerrie" Wareing, 77, of Anna died Sunday, April 6, 1997, at Hillview Healthcare Center in Vienna.

She was born Sept. 27, 1919, in Wayne County, Ga., daughter of Arba and Sarah Turner Dent. She and Harry Wareing were married July 4, 1947, in Brunswick, Ga.

Wareing was a member of Anna Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Elise Lanier of New Bern, N.C., Rebecca Pind of Jonesboro, Robin Jackson of Dongola; a brother, Sidney Dent of Brunswick; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 5-9 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Marshall McCullough and Ralph Lee officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
