BERTRAND -- Rebecca E. Johnson, 84, of Bertrand died Friday, April 7, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born March 25, 1911, in Paducah, Ky., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. DeSpain. She and Thomas E. Johnson were married Aug. 1, 1955. He died Aug. 12, 1986...
BERTRAND -- Rebecca E. Johnson, 84, of Bertrand died Friday, April 7, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born March 25, 1911, in Paducah, Ky., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. DeSpain. She and Thomas E. Johnson were married Aug. 1, 1955. He died Aug. 12, 1986.
Johnson lived in Mississippi County most of her life.

Survivors include a son, Jack Peyton of Saucier, Miss.; two daughters, Sue Dickerson of Bertrand, Sherry Tourney of Tucson, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Dogwood Cemetery. Dr. Bob Herring will officiate.
McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
