R.C. WILSON

SIKESTON -- R.C. Wilson, 89, of Sikeston died Monday, Feb. 24, 1997, at Clearview Nursing Center.

He was born July 13, 1907, in Ardmore, Okla., son of John Martin and Matilda Foy Wilson. He and Eula Chapman were married Jan. 17, 1927. She died Dec. 12, 1991.

Formerly of Oklahoma City, Okla., he had been an independent insurance agent. He was with Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. many years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Blackwell, Okla.

Survivors include a son, Troy Wilson Sr. of Sikeston; a sister, Vada Bunnell of Chickasha, Okla.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Nunnelee Funeral Chapel was in charge of local arrangements.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City.

Friends may call at Hahn-Cook, Street and Draper Funeral Home in Oklahoma City after 9 a.m. Thursday.
