SIKESTON -- Richard Carroll Marchbanks, 85, of Sikeston died Friday, Aug. 21, 1998, at the Bertrand Retirement Home in Bertrand.
He was born Jan. 4, 1913, in Dogwood, son of J.W. and Ada Belle Livingston Marchbanks.
He married Eulene Dodd on Feb. 8, 1936, in Sikeston.
He was a member of the Shady Acres Church of Christ and had been a farmer and carpenter for 25 years on the C.D. Matthews estate.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Marilyn Sue Moore of Sikeston; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, with Johnny Hester and Pat Hogan of the Shady Acres Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston. Visitation was Saturday.
