PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Raymond M. Roth, 82, of Perryville died Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 21, 1927, at Farrar, Mo., son of the late Otto and Marie Detjen Roth. He and Elinor Mueller were married April 25, 1953.
Mr. Roth was a farmer. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church at Farrar.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Alan (Donna) Roth of Farrar; three daughters, Donna (Dennis) Whelan of Springfield, Mo., Nancy (Dale) Sveom of Belton, Mo., Shirley (Bob) Kinder of Jackson; a sister, Irma Walther of Apopka, Fla.; two brothers, Milton and Elbert Roth of Farrar; eight grandchildren; a stepgrandchild; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dale Roth; and a brother, Hilmer Roth.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 6:30 to 8 a.m. Thursday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar, with the Rev. Roger Abernathy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
