Raymond Minor
MOUNDS, Ill. -- Raymond E. Minor Sr., 67, of Mounds died Saturday, Aug. 29, 1998, at the home of his son in America, Ill.
He was born April 20, 1931, son of Roy and Violet Ablett Minor.
He was a retired employee of Central Wholesale and Rex Liquors and Rent One in Cairo.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was of the Protestant faith and was a member of the Anna Moose Lodge.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond E. Minor Jr. of America and Charles Minor of Johnston City; three daughters, June Dean of Mounds, Joyce Cook of Assumption and Donna Winget of Olmstead; a sister, Doris Grigsby of Tamms; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son and two brothers.
Friends may call at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Carl Miller will officiate, with burial at the U.S. National Cemetery in Mound City.
