LICK CREEK, Ill. -- Raymond E. Manus, 83, of Lick Creek died Thursday, May 25, 2000, at his home.
He was born March 25, 1917, at Mt. Pleasant, son of George Henry and Mary Etta Gurley Manus. He and Elizabeth Haire were married May 23, 1937, at Buncombe.
Manus was a retired dairy farmer.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Shirley Elkins of Buncombe; a brother, Wayne "Doc" Manus of Anna; four sisters, Virginia Lence of Lick Creek, Nellie Childers of Goreville, Mellie Karraker of Anna, Emma Williams of Olmsted; three granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 6-8 p.m. Saturday.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ken Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Hall Cemetery.
