Funeral service for Raymond M. Jones Jr., 7246 County Road 621, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Bill Dickey will officiate, with burial in Hobbs Chapel Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
Jones, 70, died Wednesday, April 6, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Jan. 10, 1924, in Cape Girardeau, son of Raymond M. and Sadie Baker Jones. He and Eula Ates were married in Cape Girardeau.
Jones was employed by Social Security Administration, retiring in 1982 as operation supervisor. He was a member of NARFE, Golden Kiwanis, and Kimbeland Country Club. Jones served in World War II and the Korean War, and was awarded three Bronze Stars.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Ken Jones of Cape Girardeau; four brothers, Joel and Larry Jones of Cape Girardeau, Robert Jones of Sedgewickville, Hubert Jones of Du Quoin, Ill.; three sisters, Jewell Kemp, Geraldine Middleton and Carolyn Hopper of Cape Girardeau, and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
