Raymond C. Kapfer, 88, of Cape Girardeau Veterans Home died there Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998.
He was born March 21, 1909, at Oran, son of Oswald and Margaret LeGrand Kapfer.
Kapfer was owner and operator of Auto Service Station. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a brother, Arnold Kapfer of Cape Girardeau; and a sister, Loretta Dematti of St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.
Private service will be held, with burial in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
