SCOTT CITY -- Raymond August Heisserer, 90, of Scott City died Thursday, May 4, 2000, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. He was born June 4, 1909, at Kelso, son of Otto and Emma Scherer Heisserer. He and Frances Cecilia Wilhelm were married Nov. 15, 1932, at Kelso. She died Aug. 22, 1988...

SCOTT CITY -- Raymond August Heisserer, 90, of Scott City died Thursday, May 4, 2000, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 4, 1909, at Kelso, son of Otto and Emma Scherer Heisserer. He and Frances Cecilia Wilhelm were married Nov. 15, 1932, at Kelso. She died Aug. 22, 1988.

Heisserer had farmed and was shipping department foreman at Ely Walker. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Heisserer of Scott City, Billy Heisserer of Fenton; a daughter, Laverne Dodson of Columbia; a brother, Theon Heisserer of Kelso; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City after 5 p.m. Sunday. The parish rosary will be at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Augustine Church, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
