Raymond E. Feuerhahn, 94, of Cape Girardeau passed away Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, at the Lutheran Home.
Ray was born Sept. 22, 1922, in Dutchtown to Alvin and Clara Siemers Feuerhahn. Ray married Norma Scherer on April 28, 1946. Norma preceded him in death in January 1975. Ray married Eva Heuer in February 1979. Eva preceded him in death in 2015.
Ray was a member of Hanover Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau. He worked at Union Electric for 44 years. After retiring from Union Electric, he worked at Heuer and Sons Implement Co. He served on the SEMO District Fair board for 40 years and was a member of the Lutheran Men's Club for 50 years. Ray enjoyed work, attending church and volunteering at the Cape Girardeau fair, as well as numerous other clubs and organizations. God and family were most important to him.
Survivors include sons, Gary (Madeleine) Feuerhahn of Amelia Island, Florida, Gene (Donna) Feuerhahn of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and David (Tracie) Feuerhahn of Cape Girardeau; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Stepchildren are John (Amy) Heuer, Donna (Mike) Ulrich and Debbie (Buddy) Hahs; and six stepgrandchildren.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Norma; his second wife, Eva; grandson, Eric; stepson, Ivan; sisters, Alma Feuerhahn, Laura Grossheider and Emelia Meyer; and brothers, Alvin Feuerhahn and Martin Feuerhahn.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Hanover Lutheran Church.
The funeral will be at noon Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Tony Kobak officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Trinity Lutheran School or Hanover Lutheran Church.
