ADVANCE -- Raymond E. Copman, 69, of Pevely, died Tuesday, April 23, 1991, at Johns Cochran Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born July 11, 1921, at Advance, son of Edward and Emma Maag Copman. He and the former Mabeline Wilton were married in 1946.
Copman was employed more than 30 years at Alpha Cement Plant in St. Louis. He was a member of Horrine First Baptist Church. Copman served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, David Copman of Pevely; a daughter, Phyllis Cass of St. Louis; a brother, Ray Copman of Advance; three sisters, Lucille Camp of Chaffee, Aileen Surface and Dolly Land of Delta, and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five sisters and a brother.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today at First Baptist Church in Horrine, with Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home of Pevely in charge of arrangements.
