TAMMS, Ill. -- Raymond E. Cain, 74, of Tamms, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born May 12, 1920, in Tamms, son of Fred and Linnie Holshouser Cain. He and Mildred Woodney were married in November 1946. She died March 31, 1976. He and LaVonne Honey Essex were married Jan. 16, 1982.
Cain attended Tamms Methodist Church and was a member of Cairo VFW Post 2649. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Glenda Prosser of Olive Branch; a son, Kenny Cain of Tamms; a stepson, Steve Essex of East Cape Girardeau; a brother, Marion Cain of Tamms; two grandchildren, and three stepgrandchildren.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms from 5-8 p.m. today, and until service time Friday.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Billy Don Heady and Jim Keller officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
