JACKSON -- Raymond C. Chapman, 76, of Jackson died Friday, Dec. 10, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born June 9, 1923, at Advance, the son of Jess E. and Myrtle Rogers Chapman. He married Geraldine Reagan on March 13, 1946. She preceded him in death on Aug. 25, 1987. He then married Norma V. Roth on Feb. 8, 1993. She survives.
He was a member of the First General Baptist Church of Jackson and VFW Post 5900 at Marble Hill. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.
He also is survived by a son, Gerald R. Chapman of Herculaneum; a daughter, Brenda G. Morton of Jackson; a stepdaughter, Betty Dunn of Jackson; a sister, Helen Johnson of Jackson; a granddaughter, five stepgrandchildren and nine stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a stepbrother and a sister.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
Services will be at 10 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Luther Rhodes officiating. VFW military rites will be by Post 5900.
Burial will be at Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
