RAYMOND C. BENDEL

Funeral service for Raymond C. Bendel, 1408 Perry, will be held at 11 a.m. today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Don Berkbigler will officiate, with burial in Stroderville Cemetery at Whitewater.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 9-11 a.m.

Bendel, 83, died Monday, Sept. 21, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Dec. 5, 1908, at Illmo, son of Theodore and Caroline Brenniesen Bendel. He and the former Francis Hosea were married Oct. 26, 1930, at Illmo. She died April 27, 1989.

Bendel was a carpenter with Charles A. Hood Construction Co. 40 years. He was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church.

Survivors include two sons, Delain Bendel of Cape Girardeau, Gary Bendel of Scott City; two brothers, Fred Bendel of Cape Girardeau, Eugene Bendel of St. Louis; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son and brother.
