MCCLURE, Ill. -- Raymond H. "Bud" Burchyett, 88, of McClure died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at his home.

He was born Jan. 18, 1925, in Saint Louis to Raymond Barrett and Loretta Mae Jaynes Burchyett.

He and Lois Burchyett were married March 25, 1945, at Blytheville, Ark.

He was a member of the McClure Pentecostal Church and the VFW Post in McClure. He served his country in the United States Navy. He was a barber in McClure for more than 60 years. His favorite pastimes were reading and being an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Burchyett of McClure; three sons, Brad (Audrey) Burchyett of Bonner Springs, Kan., Terry (Rhonda) Burchyett of Franklin, Tenn., and Mark (Jan) Burchyett of San Marcos, Calif.; three daughters, Gloria (Kenny) Merriman of McClure, Joan (John) Kellogg of Arthur, Ill., and Sheri (Robert) Moses of Moscow, Russia; brother, James Burchyett of Oxford, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Arthur Burchyett; and a sister, Loretta DuRant.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Sprigg St. Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, at the McClure Pentecostal Church in McClure. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery in McClure with full military rites.

Memorial contributions may be given to McClure Pentecostal Church or to the Lindsey Cemetery Fund.
