TAMMS, Ill. -- Raymond V. Beasley Jr., 56, of Tamms died Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born May 20, 1955, in Cairo, Ill., to Raymond V. and Mildred Eileen Livesay Beasley Sr. He and Pam Burton were married July 10, 1982.
Raymond was a lifelong farmer and truck driver. He loved his family more than life itself and was always eager to help anyone and everyone.
Survivors include his wife, Pam; his mother, Mildred Beasley of Tamms; two daughters, Shauna Ray (Shannon McDaniel) Beasley of Tamms, Jeannie Ray (Nathan) DeVault of Benton, Mo.; three sons, Clinton Ray Beasley of Tamms, Raymond V. Beasley III of Trivoli, Ill., Julio (Liza) Myers of Mayfield, Ky.; eight grandchildren, Raylynn Joyce Liggett, Tryston Ray McDaniel, Ethan James Robert DeVault, Ayden Ray Beasley, Niya Richards, Julian, Javier and Migual Myers; a brother, Stacey (Natalie) Beasley of Tamms; three sisters, Vonda (Jim) Johnson of St. Louis, Jo (Jim) Bledsoe of Olive Branch, Ill., Randy (Rex) Adams of Elco, Ill.; and an aunt, Joyce Bradshaw of Anna, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Rod Welker officiating. Interment will be in Lindsey Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Siteman Cancer Center and will be accepted at the funeral home.
