ANNA, Ill. -- Raymond L. Barker, 86, of Anna died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 1996, at Union County Hospital in Anna.
He was born Oct. 3, 1910, in Jonesboro, son of Zack T. and Eva Lindsey Barker. He and Kathryn Allen were married Dec. 10, 1943. She died May 7, 1979. He and Lena Sharp were married Nov. 16, 1979.
Barker was a retired logger. He attended Elco Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Doris Hewitt of Anna; a son, Duane Barker of Georgetown; a sister, Velma Fear of Anna; two brothers, Leonard Barker of Anna, Loren Barker of Vienna; four stepsons, Ernest Butler of Tamms, Ronnie Butler of House Springs, Mo., Homer Butler and Bob Sharp of Hillsboro, Mo.; three stepdaughters, Carrie Hale of Tamms, Peggy Holtman of Madison, Shirley Dixon of Granite City; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, sister and four brothers.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 6 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lee Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
