Ray "Mouse" Reed, 84, 1704 David, died Monday, May 8, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 7, 1910, at Illmo, son of Peter Alexander and Dora Sarah Russell Reed. He and Laura Estelle Moss were married Oct. 20, 1942.
Reed was a push boat operator with U.S. Corps of Engineers, retiring in January 1964. He attended Third Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gerald Moss of Scott City, Robert Reed of Gordonville; two daughters, Barbara Cole of Cape Girardeau, Carole Fisher of Stone Mountain, Ga.; a brother, R.E. "Gene" Reed of Scott City; a sister, Frances Bachman of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jerry Statler officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery at Scott City.
