COBDEN, Ill. -- Ray Morrison, 70, of Cobden died Thursday, April 3, 1997, at Union County Hospital in Anna.
He was born Dec. 23, 1926, in Smithland, Ky., son of Clyde and Marchie Guill Morrison. He and Pearl J. Reed were married Sept. 29, 1950, in Piggott, Ark.
Morrison was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 268 in Collinsville, and Anna VFW Post 3455. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Tim Morrison of Cobden; two daughters, Dianna Morrison of Cobden, Debra Crowell of Anna; three brothers, J.D. Morrison of Cobden, Ed and Orbie Morrison of Carbondale; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden after 6 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. J.D. Morrison officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Carbondale, with military rites by Anna VFW.
