Ray J. Pender, 86, 2525 Boutin, died Friday, March 6, 1992, at Cape LaCroix.
He was born April 23, 1905, at Ruble, son of George Otis and Ora Alice Pender. He and Pearl Worley were married March 9, 1928, in Annapolis.
Pender was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Nelson Pender of Old Monroe, Howard Pender of Cape Girardeau, Paul Pender of Millersville, Larry Pender of Jackson; two daughters, Goldie Benefield and Jerry Underwood of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Sylvia Tolbert of Cape Girardeau; 19 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today at Hobbs Chapel Cemetery. The Rev. Joe McCullough will officiate.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
