ADVANCE -- Funeral service for Ray E. Robins Sr. of Advance will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Arvil Huffman will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Wayne Page. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park, with military graveside rites.
Robins, 64, died Thursday, Oct. 8, 1992, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 8, 1928, at Painton, son of Clarence and Edna Davis Robins. He and Anna Marie Williams were married Aug. 6, 1949, in Piggott, Ark.
Robins was a chief ship serviceman with the U.S. Navy, and a veteran of World War II, Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a machinist at Lincoln in St. Louis.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ray Jr. and Richard Robins of Advance; four daughters, Penny Kitchings of Columbia, S.C., Jeanne Robins of St. Louis, Pamela Adams and Tammy Wilson of Granite City, Ill.; a brother, Otis Robins of Alton, Ill.; two sisters, Mary Armstrong of Advance, Shirley Riesse of Bowling Green, Ky., and six grandchildren.
