CHARLESTON -- Ray R. Crisel Sr., 56, of Charleston died Friday, Jan. 23, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 29, 1941, in East Prairie, son of William J. and Enna Drewery Crisel. He and Janice Putzke were married Sept. 22, 1971. He and Melissa Russell were married Oct. 14, 1997.
Crisel had lived in Mississippi County most of his life. He was a farmer.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ray Crisel Jr. of Bertrand, Billy Crisel of Charleston; two daughters, Sherry Austin of Charleston, Enna Shipp of Manhattan, Kan.; Hester Pehm of Charleston, who raised Crisel; a brother, Tom Crisel of Miner; a sister, Vina Franklin of Sikeston; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 5-8 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Rick White officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
