OVERLAND, Mo. -- Ray Corn, 82, of Overland died Sunday, March 27, 2016, at DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton, Missouri.
He was born May 2, 1933, in Scott City to Youal Edna and Lula Novella Phillips Corn. He married Shirley Jean Rau on Nov. 3, 1956. She preceded him in death March 31, 1999.
He was an inspector for Carter Carburetor in St. Louis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
He is survived by a son, Ray (Sue) Corn Jr. of Troy, Missouri; two daughters, Linda Hill and Mary Lamb, both of St. Louis; a sister, Carol Corn of Scott City; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren ;and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Charles Lance officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery with full military honors.
