Raul Rosas Rivero, 43, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sunday, Aug. 25, 2024, surrounded by his family and friends.

After a long, fearless fight with cancer, God gave him his well-deserved wings.

Raul was born June 17, 1981, in Michoacán, Mexico, to Roberto Rosas Chanocua and Theresa Rivero Aldaz.

Raul and Trichelle "Shelly" Riegert were married June 20, 2003, in Cape Girardeau. Cape Girardeau was where they made their home and raised their two sons, Trey and Keelin.

He worked in masonry for 20 years, the last 16 years with John Randol Masonry as a bricklayer. Currently, he was employed by Capitol Sand, working as a groundsman. He also enjoyed cooking for his co-workers.

Raul never met a stranger. His smile was contagious, and he shared it with everyone. He loved his family and friends and was always willing to lend a hand whenever he could. He loved to cook and, luckily for his family, he liked to share. He loved spending time with his family enjoying nature, fishing, hunting and visiting parks.
