Randy Gerard Kirn, 57, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Jan. 25, 2021, at his home.

He was born Jan. 16, 1964, in Perryville, Missouri, to Norman and Donna Brown Kirn.

He was an estimator at Kirn Plumbing and Heating.

Randy was a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 562.

Randy was a respected member of the construction community. He cared greatly about doing a good job and doing it right.

Randy was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, as well as sharing his adventures with others. He loved fishing and looked forward to his yearly saltwater fishing and beach trips with the Hart family.

Randy was a master in the kitchen. He and his wife spent many hours cooking together. He looked forward to family get-togethers and coming up with a menu that would feed an army.

He loved his wife, daughters and grandchildren. He passed with his family at his side and knew so many cared and loved him.

Survivors include his parents, Norman and Donna Kirn of Cape Girardeau; wife, Leigh Kirn of Cape Girardeau; four daughters, Taylor Kirn of Cape Girardeau, Madison Kirn of Cape Girardeau, Amanda (Eddie) Hartline of Dudley, Missouri, and Kelly Kelm of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; a brother, Rodney (Barbara) Kirn of Jackson; a sister, Tammi (David) Bean of Cape Girardeau; and seven grandchildren, Kayden, Khyson, Trenton, Ernie, Demi, Peyton and Noah.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at the VFW Hall in Cape Girardeau in the Taylor room. Doors open at 11 a.m. with the memorial service starting at noon with a meal to follow. Drop in visits please from 11 a.m. to noon or after 1:30 p.m.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home on Mount Auburn Road is in charge of arrangements.
