Randy G. Fronabarger, 77, of Jackson passed away Monday, Sept. 14, 2020, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Feb. 11, 1943, in St. Louis to Paul W. and Della M. Hahs Fronabarger. He married Sharon Smith. They had three children: Lane, Julie and Garrett.
Randy was raised in Oak Ridge and was a 1961 graduate of Oak Ridge High School.
He served honorably in the Missouri Army National Guard and was a lifetime member of the American Legion. He was also a member of Excelsior Masonic Lodge 441 AF & AM in Jackson, Scottish Rite Valley of St. Louis and the Elks in Cape Girardeau.
His industrious career included Jim Wilson Co. in Cape Girardeau; owner-operator of Shine-Brite Car Washes and Porta-Washing; A & R Storage Sheds in Jackson; and selling real-estate with the late Truman Sawyer. He then worked many years as a vocational shop teacher at Perryville (Missouri) High School, retiring in the early 2000s.
Loving survivors include his fiancee, Ruth Moneyhun of Jackson; three children, Lane Fronabarger (Kris Sneed) of Jackson; Julie (Brian) Hahs and children, Megan (Tyler) Arpin and Max Gray of Jackson; and Garrett (Erika) Fronabarger and children, Loreli, Ike and Vivian of St. Louis; Ruth's son, Alan (Becky) Moneyhun of Jackson and children, Kara (Taylor) Barrett, Kale Moneyhun, Kody Moneyhun, Jessica (Dave) Harrison and children, Abby and Amelia, and Jared (Barb) Moneyhun and daughter, Aurora.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert P. "Bob" (Sandra) Fronabarger, and his parents.
Arrangements are Saturday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson as follows: Visitation at 10 a.m., American Legion service at 11:45 a.m. and funeral service at noon, with the Rev. Bryan Wendling officiating. Burial and military honors will follow at Goshen Cemetery in Oak Ridge.
