Randy Lynn Bateman, 65, of Scott City passed away Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, at Southeast Hospital.

He was born May 22, 1949, in Lewiston, Idaho, to Emery and Myrtea Cates Bateman.

Randy was a chef in Alaska and also owned his own restaurant. He enjoyed spending time with his family and cooking for all occasions.

Survivors include his husband, Dave King of Scott City; a daughter, Audrey Bateman (Tony Irlbeck) of Farmington, Missouri; a son, Tom (Jessica) Bateman of Washington, D.C.; a brother, Terry (Judy) Bateman of Lenore, Idaho; two grandchildren, Hayden and Chandler VanTuyl; and former wife, Becky Bateman of St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Rod and Brad Bateman.

A memorial visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
