Ralph W. Gremard, 71, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, March 4, 1992, at his home.

He was born Feb. 1, 1921, in Portageville, son of Louis William and Rosa Lee Estes Gremard.

He was a self-employed carpenter. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Portageville, and Henry Meldrum American Legion Post 114 in Sikeston.

He and Lowanda L. Young were married Sept. 15, 1941, at Caruthersville.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Don and Bruce Gremard of Sikeston; two daughters, Deloris Wood of Marietta, Ga., Robin Towe of Sikeston; three brothers, Robert Gremard of St. Charles, Harvey Gremard of Jonesboro, Ark., and Allen Gremard of Portageville; two sisters, Myrtle Maloney of Jackson, Imogene Foulk of Cape Girardeau; 19 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

A daughter, brother and grandson preceded him in death.

Friends may call today from 9 a.m. until time of service at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kelley Grubbs officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. Harry Mathis. Burial will be in Portageville Cemetery.
