RALPH RIDER

DONGOLA, Ill. -- Ralph Rider, 90, of Dongola died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 1996, at his home.

He was born June 6, 1906, in Dongola, son of Robert O. and Mary Ellen Lingle Rider. He and Vesta C. Fisher were married Aug. 6, 1925. She died Dec. 18, 1992.

Rider retired from the former Anna State Hospital and was a retired farmer. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include 10 daughters, Violet Ulrich of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Elsie Elliott of Dongola, Deloris Mowell of Parkin, Ark., Joyce Inman and Rose Horn of Grand Chain, Earlene Elliott of Richland, Mich., Mary Allen of Grand Junction, Mich., Lillie Houseman of Anna, Scharon Gardner of Jonesboro, Fern Larry of Olmsted; four sons, Lowell, Melvin, Sam and Earnest Rider, all of Dongola; a brother, Clinton Rider of Richland; 48 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
